Human Resources Assistant Manager

Position Summary:

HR Solutions is seeking a Human Resources Assistant Manager for our clients in the New Albany, MS area. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Human Resources leadership position.

  • Manage and facilitate Human Resources activities for Employee Relations, Compensation, Benefits, and Recruiting / Staffing
  • Assure compliance with company policies, and government regulations and laws concerning human resources matters
  • Interpret instructions, personnel policies, to subordinates and department heads
  • Conduct wage, salary, and benefit surveys to assure competitiveness in the area
  • Counsel managers and supervisors on matters of discipline and conflict resolution
  • Conduct employee counseling, as required
  • Ensure training programs are in place to address the training needs of salaried and hourly employees, record, track and report as needed
  • Coordinate programs to address absenteeism and turnover
  • Administer policies and procedures relating to all functions under direction
  • Coordinate the salary review plan and certify and approve all salary actions, such as promotions, demotions, re-classifications, and merit increases
  • Oversee employee benefits administration for hourly and salaried employees

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Must have 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Human Resource leadership position
  • Requires high level of urgency and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt well in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Up to $70,000 / year depending on experience; plus bonus
  • Excellent benefits offered
