Information Technology Administrator

Position Summary:

Youth First is seeking an Information Technology Administrator to join their team. The Information Technology Administrator plays a critical role in leading the information technology needs of the organization. A successful Information Technology Administrator combines excellent analytical, organizational and leadership skills with a thorough knowledge of information technology.

This position is eligible for consideration of a remote work agreement (up to 2 days per week) once the employee has demonstrated the ability to perform essential job functions independently and satisfactorily.

Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the organization’s point of contact for team members to report hardware or software issues.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to hardware, software, security systems, and peripherals
  • Develop and maintain application availability guidelines along with the Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity plan.
  • Research, recommend, and present to Supervisor new technologies and software products
  • Collecting and delivering equipment to the managed services provider when repairs cannot be completed remotely.
  • Managing the network/systems access and equipment setup/dissemination to new employees in the onboarding process and collection of termed employees.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to systems hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with the organization’s contracted internet service provider and phone system provider, including serving as the organization’s point of contact for team members to report issues or outages and working with the providers to ensure successful resolution to reported issues or outages.
  • Manage the organization’s IT equipment procurement process, maintain the organization’s IT equipment inventory records including collaborating with the finance team on equipment depreciation schedules.
  • Oversee the organization’s standard operating procedures and usage policies related to remote access to systems, communications systems usage, equipment care and usage, and others.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Three or more years of experience in designing, deploying, and supporting information technology solutions. Non-profit experience a plus.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • An analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while coordinating multiple high-level priorities.
