Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

HR Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for our long-standing client in Evansville, IN.

Responsibilities: 

• Orient, train, and coach accounting employees
• Prepare financial reports and accompanying schedules, worksheets, and narratives
• Coordinate and complete month-end and year-end financial responsibilities
• Research and document financial related issues
• Balances outstanding payables to general accounting trial balance monthly
• Maintains vendor and other payable files
• Receiving invoices (via paper and electronically) and process accordingly
• Lead internal and external audits including, but not limited to preparation of schedules and other data as necessary
• Compile and test final reports and general ledger data as requested
• Ensure all finance functions have accurate and updated standard operating procedures, making changes where necessary
• Act as a mentor and a source of information for those with questions regarding functions of the finance department
• Lead and assist in projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Must have a BS in Accounting and at least 4 years’ experience
• MBA or CPA certification is a plus
• Possession of valid Indiana Driver’s License
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Compensation:

• $70,000 / year
• Excellent benefits offered
